NASA Research Park, Moffett Field, CA - November 29, 2013 - Machine-to-Machine Intelligence (M2Mi) Corporation today announced that it has become a Champion of Data Privacy Day (DPD). As a DPD Champion, M2Mi recognizes and supports the principle that organizations, businesses and government all share the responsibility to be conscientious stewards of data by respecting privacy, safeguarding data and enabling trust. Here is the public release.
Data Privacy Day, observed annually on January 28, is an international awareness effort to encourage Internet users to consider the privacy implications of their online actions and motivate all companies to make the protection of privacy and data a greater priority. M2Mi is joining the growing effort among international organizations, corporations, educational institutions, government entities and municipalities across the globe to promote privacy awareness.
“M2Mi is honored to be a champion for data privacy. In today’s world, data flows very freely and it is imperative that organizations function as trusted custodians of data to ensure privacy and security throughout its lifecycle. We look forward to working with the National Cyber Security Alliance to lead this awareness and educational campaign, especially as we move into the hyper-connected world of the Internet of Things”, says Geoff Brown, CEO, Machine-to-Machine Intelligence (M2Mi) Corporation.
M2Mi provides the M2M Intelligence® platform, which includes M2M Automation and M2M Cyber Security, as the essential technology foundation for M2M and IoT offerings. M2M Cyber Security includes patented Lockbox technology that provides the ability for fine-grained, policy-based control over the flow of data. This enables organizations to better protect and ensure privacy of sensitive data within the M2M and Internet of Things environment.
